Formed in 2018, THE BORED brings together four unique musical tastes to deliver music as varied as the day as long. With origins stretching from Farmington to Glenwood, these troubadours finally converged along the Big River in the city of Hastings. All band members provide vocals, with Darrell Pipo taking the lead. The sound is rounded out with electric guitar helmed by Darrell, Matt Bruns on bass, Christian Waage playing trombone and keys, and Jason Matsch thumping out the time. This indie-rock band has regularly played in local venues and festivals bringing their horns, hooks, and harmonies that have become their calling card. Their debut album, titled From the River’s Edge, mixes 60s soul with undertones of the Jayhawks and the Suburbs, beloved Minnesota and national bands.
